Booking a private coasteering adventure
From door to door transport to plunging of sea-cliffs, our Private Coasteering tours are perfect for adventurous large groups- such as stag and hen parties or adult groups of 8+ people.
We have selected the gnarliest stretches of the Scottish coastline to give our clients the true coasteering experience: both on the East Coast, both completely different adventures.
Our Adventure Package takes you to explore Shell Bay- home to impressive wildlife, perfect levels of swell and a mixed bag of different sized cliff jumps.
Our Advanced Coasteering Package takes you further north to Arbroath- expect nothing less than big jumps, bouncy waves and impressive rock formations.

We’ll come to you!
Part of the Private Coasteering booking package comes with door to door transport. We will come to your hotel or accommodation, you’ll jump in our colourful minibus, then we will head North to have an adventure. Afterwards, we will drop you back off at your accommodation in time for you to explore Edinburghs night-life.

What to expect
Great views! Giant jumps! Good fun!
From the moment you step foot into our minibus (or meet us at the venue) it’s full on adventure mode. Upon arriving at the venue, we will get kitted up- you’ve got to look the part of you are going to be a coasteering-wizard! We’ll then take the 10 minute walk to to top of the cliffs, our instructors will do a final safety check of equipment, buckle our helmets then it’s Go! Go! Go!
We’ll splash around in the water, then start traversing across the coast, on our way we will explore sea caves, leap off of cliffs, body surf waves and if we’re lucky: spot a pod of dolphins dancing across the horizon.

The first rule of doing adventure sports is ‘You’ve got to look the part’- which is why at Intrepidus Outdoors, we have carefully selected the best coasteering equipment on the market, so you’ll look like a pro, feel like a pro, and be as safe as a pro.
We use ‘Seland’ wetsuits which are designed to keep you warm, safe and are durable against the rough rocks and barnacles. As well as top of the range wetsuits, we also provide: Coasteering boots, neoprene socks, helmets, buoyancy aids and all other safety equipment.

What you need to bring
We have you covered for almost everything, you just need to bring swimwear, a towel, a snack and your inner coasteering-ninja!
If you only have access to one of Edinburghs pristine-white hotel towels, we also provide towel hire for £4.50 per person.
If you are interested at adding catering to your package- please speak to a member of our office team. Catering starts from £12.50 per person. Our catering is from our favourite bakeries in Edinburgh or nearby the venue and can be either breakfast, lunch or both- Don’t forget to let us know of any dietary requirements!

Safety and Medical Information
At Intrepidus Outdoors we take safety very seriously and our clients safety is of upmost importance. Our canyoning adventures are open to almost all abilities, but for the safety of yourself, the rest of the group and our instructors, you must be physically able to join us.
To keep you safe, we also ask you to complete our medical consent form, which you complete upon booking and is then checked by a member of our office team before we have the go ahead to run the trip. If you are unsure whether you are able to join us for a canyoning adventure, due to a medical issue or previous injury, please speak to your doctor and don’t hesitate to get in touch with us- we would be happy to help with any enquiries.
All of our canyoning instructors are whitewater rescue qualified and outdoor first aiders, with lots of knowledge and experience in canyoning, coasteering, hill walking and mountain biking, as well as other adventure sports.
As well as all our guides being trained to the highest standard, we use top of the range safety equipment and have in-depth knowledge of the adventurous locations we use.
