Joining Instructions- Private Canyoning Booking
Intrepidus Outdoors is an outdoor activities tour provider specialising in Canyoning, Coasteering, Mountain Biking and Hillwalking. Based on the outskirts of Edinburgh, we take clients on high-thrill adventures across Scotland.
Cascading down canyons by sliding, abseiling, cliff jumping and exploring hidden caves makes Canyoning one of the most popular adventures at Intrepidus Outdoors- as well as making it a firm favourite for some of our instructors.

Booking a private canyoning adventure
From doorstep collection to hurtling down waterfalls, our private canyoning adventures are perfect for thrill-seeking groups – such as stag and hen parties or large adult groups of 8+ people.
We have selected our top three canyons in Scotland to give private tour canyoning parties the opportunity to select which level of gnar they would like to experience: sliding slippery falls in Dollar, Abseiling corkscrew waterfalls at Alva or big-beastly jumps in Bruar.

Where to meet us
We’ll come to you!
For our Private Canyoning Adventures, we provide door to door transport: We’ll pick your group up from your chosen location e.g hotel or apartment, drive north of Edinburgh to your chosen canyon then drop you straight back off at your accommodation- just in time to explore Edinburghs’ night life.
Collection and drop of times vary depending on which canyoning package you have selected. For the ‘Adventure’ and ‘Intermediate’ canyoning trips, we aim to collect your group at 09:30AM and have you dropped off for 04:30PM. What to expect
Lots of stoke!
The excitement for the day starts from the moment you step foot in our colourful minibus (if it hadn’t already started), from then, the day keeps getting better.
Once you arrive at your canyoning destination, you’ll all get kitted up and your inner canyoneering ninja will come out, there will be a short walk up to the top of canyon before your safety brief and final equipment check. After that, it’s full on send-mode as you glide down falls, cliff jump and abseil your way down your chosen canyon.
What we provide
We know how grim it is having to wear poorly kept equipment from outdoor facilitators, which is why at Intrepidus Outdoors we have put extra effort into selecting the best equipment to keep our clients safe and looking snazzy.
We use ‘Seland’ canyoneering wetsuits which are designed to be durable against the rocky faces you’ll be sliding and scrambling on and are brightly coloured to make sure you look like a pro for your instagram posts. As well as top of the range wetsuits, we also provide: Canyoneering boots, Neoprene Socks, Canyoning harness, helmet and all other safety equipment.
All of our instructors carry waterproof GoPro cameras to capture all your memories, these will then be transferred to you for free upon arrival in Edinburgh.
